Emberfall Chronicles

Emberfall Chronicles is the kind of RPG I wish more studios attempted on mobile. It's got a proper story — a slow-burning tale about a kingdom cracking apart — and characters who grow on you over the dozens of hours it takes to finish. Combat is turn-based, with a timing element on attacks that keeps you from zoning out.

Party management is where it shines. You mix and match six classes, each with branching skill trees, and swapping members mid-battle actually matters against tougher bosses. I lost a whole evening just re-building my team before a dungeon run.

The touch controls are well thought out, with big tappable targets and an auto-battle option for grinding. My only gripe is the early hours are a bit slow. Push past the first two chapters and it opens up beautifully.
